Why we are becoming extremist? πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯Š

in #blog β€’ 7 years ago (edited)

I was in social media last few days especially in Facebook. I have tried to analyze the news, comments and reaction of people. If you look at the comments you will see full of abusive words, attacks everywhere. This is happen even you share a entertainment news. No matter what some people start abusing, using foul words and showing of power.

Just few days back, I was reading a sports news. You will be dishearten to see the comments of the people. No respects, No humility. One attacks another without any reason. Nobody knows each other and They have no rivalry before. Sports news instantly turn into a political war, It seems like if they face each other right here right now, Then bloodshed is the ultimate solution.

Most of the attacks is based on religion, race, and country. Religious attacks (i.e. virtual attacks) is mainly generalization of certain community. Without knowing the entire religion, Without having much knowledge of particular religion, people start abusing. Like this religion is the worst, This religion is creating lots of problem around the world, Worst religion ever, Your religion is the hub of terrorist and so on. As a peaceful person, I never talk about religion in person. As this is virtual platform I am sharing my feelings on this issue.

Another attacks is based on country. This is worst from of virtual attacks. Without knowing anything, people start abusing other countries, countryman. In Every country, there is good people and bad people. People likes to talk about bad people. One mentioned: Oh you lost this war in 19.. , Oh we taught you a great lesson that war something like this. So this people are talking about winning war. I don't believe that anybody can win in a war. War is lose - lose situation, Either way you will lose.

Political leaders are one step forward. Due to their influence on common people like me, they are spreading false news, hatred more than others. With their influence, they make victims of a minority. Politicians and their obedient media spreading fake news each and everyday. They are responsible for making people conservative, making people bad. Because of media and politicians, People start hating the minority. At the end of the day, minority or less powerful group suffer the most.

This world is beautiful because of so many tradition, culture, religion and so many places to visit. In the observable universe, till now earth is only planet where we can live. We should love each other, respect each other and help each other. Without spreading hatred, without participating in a war or a supporter of war, we can build a better world.

I am expecting comments from you about this topic.

I think part of the online abuse is down to the fact that the world has gotten so politically correct. If you say the wrong sentence in public these days you are now liable to lose you're job or end up in court.
While sexism and racism are both unacceptable, people are still going to tell jokes and make fun, without it being malicious. In the absence of this in the modern world, people have turned to anonymous comments online where there are no repercussions and they can be a lot darker with what they say. It is only human to have dark thoughts on a daily basis and behind a keyboard people are letting them out.

The problem now is that the world has gone virtual. This virtualization is encouraging people to act as they please, say what they want without repercussion. When you stand behind a wall its easy to say anything and hide who you are. But come face to face with the other side and all the sudden everyone behaves. If no one sees this, and change how they treat people within and beyond Virtual boundaries, the world will certainly go down a dark path.

May be they shows true face.

This is so true. Love this post.

Thank you @moneytino

Bad behavior reinforces bad behavior. There is basically not one person we can look to with morals. If your mum and dad behaves badly you will think it is normal and do the same.

Yes, all habit and behavior coming from family as well as surroundings

The problem of online trolls is the problem of Gyge's ring. Given the power of invisibility and anonymity, most degenerate into the beasts of their being. For many subpar men, the only restraining factor of boorish behavior is the fear of ostracism from his social strata, which is rarely enforced in the virtual space.

so virtual behaviour is the real face

Yes. The real face is the one without the masks and facade of feignes civility. The real person is the one he becomes when no one is watching.
