So keep that in mind. And then there's the potential regret and embarrassment when you realize that, oh, man, they didn't even mean it that way or something they said that you didn't hear that provided clarification.

But because your brain is already prepared, fight, you miss it. You miss these things. And remember, we talked about auditory exclusion a couple months ago, how with auditory exclusion in high stress situations, our brain will block out certain sounds.

It will block out certain things that may be said. Focus on the survival. And if you get triggered by something someone says, then that auditory exclusion can kick in where it becomes stressful for you.

And now you're no longer hearing the logic to what they're saying, because there was one word that they said that caused you to just lose it and you missed the bigger picture. You lose the context in that moment and it can lead to some major regret or embarrassment. And now you've got to try and go fix a relationship and not even realizing that you have potentially damaged relationships that were on the fringe that we're building.

And now they're beginning to crumble and you don't even realize it. The people who may have wanted to give you offer you a job who may have been considering you to be a business partner in a venture that they're exploring. Someone who may have wanted to go on a date with you and you just never know.

All of these scenarios are going on because remember, someone is always watching. And if the people that you care about don't see it, there are people who will talk and word begins to spread. So keep that in mind.

But when you do take the time and pause and give strategic responses. It allows you to have better conflict resolution. You can resolve these conflicts a lot quicker, a lot more quickly.
