Interesting question because I've been asking myself why Steemit has such an appeal to me. I'm a new user and have blogged here and there and have had active social media accounts, but there is that 'special sauce' that has really compelled me to write much more and pour out some thoughts that I would never have considered doing on Fakebook (#deletefacebook). I was just saying to my partner this morning that the interaction I've had on Steemit is so much more substantial than the superficial responses you get on other platforms where you actually know the people from the real world...like even your real world friends don't give you much on those platforms. It's a very different mindset here if you can find the right people to follow.
