On a landmark day for Nepal’s animation and VFX community, we witnessed the official inauguration of the Animation & VFX Artists’ Association of Nepal (AVAAN) — a long-awaited initiative set to uplift and unify creatives across the country.
The event was graced by the inspiring presence of Jeremy Vickery, former Lighting Director at Pixar, renowned mentor, and a true visionary in the global animation space. Alongside him, Mr. Dinesh DC, the dynamic President of the Film Development Board Nepal, shared his vision for the future of Nepalese cinema and digital arts, reinforcing his support for the growth of this industry.
Their presence made the event not only memorable but also deeply motivating for artists, studios, and students alike.
What is AVAAN?
AVAAN stands for more than just an association — it represents a movement. A step towards creating a stronger, more collaborative creative ecosystem in Nepal. With a focus on nurturing local talent, building industry standards, and fostering international connections, AVAAN is here to help shape the future of animation and visual effects in the country.
Peak Studio at the Inauguration 🎥
As a proud member of Nepal’s creative scene, Peak Studio was honored to be part of this inauguration event. Witnessing the passion and unity of our industry peers, and sharing the room with legends like Jeremy Vickery, was a moment of pride and reflection for us. It reminded us of how far we’ve come — and how much potential lies ahead.
A Call to the Creative Community
This is just the beginning. AVAAN opens the doors to mentorship, community support, and shared resources for all artists in the animation and VFX field. Whether you're a freelancer, studio, student, or enthusiast — the future is brighter when we grow together.
Let’s build, learn, and push boundaries. Together. 🚀
