Why I think westerners are paranoid as fuck and crave a good cover up story so much!
Well, no wonder! We get the tooth fairy and santa claus crammed down our throats like a stuffed turkey. We lie to our children from as soon as they can comprehend what we're saying, because we think it's fun to delude them. So we make up stories of easter bunnies, tooth fairies, santa claus and his elvish helpers, or whatever else we can think of, it's different in every country. And we, as little kids, love it because those made up weirdos bring us presents. But then, once the truth is told to us, the bubble bursts and the trauma steps in. After a cooling period, puberty kicks in and your mind is distracted. Then, a couple years pass and it kicks in again, you're an adult and you can do whatever you want. Stroll through the park, buy mostly whatever you want, watch a movie, take a vacation, whatever makes you feel good,.. right, … RIGHT??? No, something is missing, you're still waiting… but for what. The craving is back again but you can't place it. WHAT IS IT GOD DAMN IT!!! And then all of a sudden it hits you right in the face. You're just sitting there in your couch, surfing the web and watching some nonsense news on some nonsense news site and you see a small square with this amazing title. It says, finally long lost civilization found. And the wheels in your head start turning, what, huh, wait a minute. What's with the secrecy here? Nobody told me were looking for a lost civilization. And new neural pathways are formed. The childhood trauma fuses with the memory of candy and toys and a full scale paranoid psychosis is born, engulfing you for the rest of your miserable life. And that, ladies and gents, is when you start a blog.
