There is a new BOINC version ready to download
We got a new BOINC release to crunch with on Windows (32 & 64bit) and Mac OS X (64-bit Intel).
Till now the recommended version was 7.8.3, which was released last autumn, followed by two mac only releases, 7.8.4 and 7.8.5
Here are the download links to the new stable version:

Since I couldn't find any release notes yet (Now in the update below) here are some command line tools that where announced to ship with 7.10
- --acct_mgr info: show current account manager info.
- --acct_mgr attach URL name password: attach to an account manager.
- --acct_mgr synch: synchronize with (via an RPC) the current account manager.
- --acct_mgr detach: detach from the current account manager.
I am especially looking forward to the sync command to be available on linux, since there is currently no such function.

Yeah, it's a lot of bug and gui fixes, you don't have to expect any major crunching boost
To install the new BOINC versions do you just reinstall the software and will it still remember all my projects or will I have to add back the projects after the reinstall?
You can just install it over your current install. It will remember everything

There is such function. You just have to compile the testing version from sources. Know what, i will try to package it.
