It's time to share a cover from one of the books in my collection.
This one was published by Jonathan Cape in 1959. The jacket design is credited to Hans Tisdall.
What I like most about this cover are the strong, bold colours and the somewhat cartoon like images, which all goes to make a cover you can hardly fail to notice. It’s a style I can remember seeing on quite a few book covers of this period in my grandparents’ house when I was a boy.
