RE: Decentralized Applications: Harnessing Bitcoin's Blockchain Technology "Unboxing"

in #books9 years ago

Yeah, I think the target audience is DApp developers. Here's some selected text from the back cover:

Take advantage of ... the blockchain... to build massively scalable ... dapps. Learn advances in distributed-system technology ... Build a Twitter clone with the Go language, ... decentralized messaging app, and a peer-to-peer data store. ... Learn about OpenBazaar ... Explore Lighthouse ... an in-depth look at La'Zooz ...

There is no way this is all covered in enough detail. Out of the 97 pages I count only about 24 with any source code on them, and that is being generous.

The summary of the book should be: I talk a little about some randomly chose Decentralized Applcations, but you could learn a lot more, for free, on the internet.

Learn about OpenBazaar

Does anybody looking to write a DApp need a book on OpenBazaar?

Maybe this guy saw the success of the 'For Dummies' series and wanted in...

I just want to further explain that it takes a lot of effort (or lack thereof) to get me to write a negative review - so I'm extra shocked here.
