There is no point in doing an automatic system of related posts, because inevitably it would pull in the vast majority of posts that have been published over a month before, and hence arn't eligible for further payment.
However, there is nothing stopping people from listing their own related posts at the bottom of articles.
why cant older posts still be voted on ?? seems a shame really !! Would give more hope for smaller accounts that their posts may get voted and read if they were readable and votable ad finitum !!
yes well this veiw similar content button would serve this very purpose as the algorithim of steemit would put its hand in "PANDORA,S BOX " and pull up someones post or maybe more a list of subjects which could satisfy the readers desire to read and see more of this sort of content. This could blow the thing wide open and in so many ways , giving an organic and lucky bag feel to research !! More fun, more content exposure, end of circle jerking voting and improved user experience. All in possibly one button !! I, m feeling very proud of myself right now !! Eureka !! ; - )
ok i see , but this idea could be functional for how long before the cut off point would be required, any ideas ?? 30 days of increased visibility through this new button, could be a real shot in the arm for authors who are struggling to get noticed in new, active and trending sections no ?
i have to say that i do agree with your idea on the lack of flow !! I find it difficult sometimes navigating from one area of subject interest to another !! I think the thing could be improved by using the keywords submitted by the author to group other articles in the same subject and vein as the article the reader is currently reading. . Using the title or even better still the content of these older articles in the archives of the blockchain could be pulled up by the reader for further investigation or enrichment. So this " view similar content " button could take the reader to other authors posts where the reader could see other veiwpoints or contents of similar nature !! Im not a programmer, but i studied multimedia design and conception at Paris Sorbonne back in the mid nineties and the buzz word back then of importance then was " Arborescence " or the navigational routing of a site,, to make side doors to other places in the page without having to leave by the main menu again, the possibility to navigate " horizontally " somewhere else while still searching similar content !! So in short a new button on every post for " view similar content " This would i think then take people away from more visible trending or say promoted pages to other lesser known till now invisible authors who by their choice of keyword might get lucky and fall on a whale !! or even little me !! ; - ) Steemit could be an incredible library and we just need to nail the subject navigation devices, for me the answer and key to this problem is the keywords submitted by the author !! Steem Up and On !!
This is not a bad idea. It would be something like what Amazon does, when you see the suggestions for "customers who bought this book also bought..."
I would appreciate having a feature like this.

I don't care to get in the middle of an argument between you two. I don't see any edits to the post and the screen shot was there the first time I read it, so I guess I never saw the original version. I think your idea was about having a button which would open up a new page showing the links, whereas in this sample screenshot the links are displayed right on the original post. The two ideas are complementary, just two sides of the same coin.

well i have to say i am a little surprised to see that you completely changed your original post on the problem of Flow in Steemit navigation.Where i suggested that the solution to this being a " related content "button with attachments to key words in older posts !! To see that you have now reedited your post completely around my idea for this button but with no mention of the fact that it was my idea !! surely being in a community you could have at least mentioned that the idea came from @gomeravibz in your reediting of the post !! seems only fair no?? I feel bad saying this, but right now i have the impression that you have taken my solution to the problem of flow which was clearly there and are suggesting that the solution that i gave freely in good faith and with desire to exchange, is now somehow yours !! please can you at least admit to the community from where this idea that you have so brilliantly illustrated now, actually came from !!
