A picture we took while visiting White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. This was an unexpected stop and something we did not even know was in the area until we saw signs for it.
What I thought would just be an unimpressive view of sand dunes turned into a breath taking sunset. Just before the sun fell behind the mountains, the whole landscape began to glow as the fleeting sun light danced off of each grain of sand.
Remember, just because there isn't much to see doesn't mean there isn't beauty to be found.

Sometimes we need a subtle push to get us out of our comfort zones. It is so easy to talk ourselves out of doing something if we are just a little bit afraid to step out there and conquer our fears. If we get too cosy we will never risk anything and miss out on the adventures of a life time.
How right you are! Complacency can lead to simplicity and before you know it, you're looking back wondering how and why you missed certain things.
