People just don't seem to get the circular nature of the logic.
If the flag stands for freedom (I know what is going on now isn't freedom, but it is supposed to stand for freedom, everyone threatening violence is emotionally attached to the flag because of what is supposedly stands for) then what does peeing on it mean? You are against freedom?
And if you are peeing on a symbol of freedom, and are therefore clearly against freedom, then why should freedom lovers care? Isn't peeing on the symbol of freedom the perfect expression of it?
