These have been particularly intense months for me. Not necessarily a bad thing, but mentally exhausting nonetheless.
My partner took the plunge and opened a restaurant on the Catalan coast in early June. It's going well, despite the usual complications of starting a business.
Five months ago, I started working at a tech company, and they're putting me through my paces. I'm learning a lot, but as I said, it's demanding a lot from me, and I HAVE to rise to the challenge.
I'd like to post more on Hive, but mentally, I'm not up to it. Sometimes I even feel a little bad about it.
But... what if I just let go? Honestly, I'm tired (bottom signal?).
I think I need a break.
And that's why I'm writing this post, I guess.
I don't want to slowly fade away without saying a word. I'm still here, but a couple of steps further back in the room.
I need to focus more on other things.
What about PWR?
Apologies for the lack of updates on this matter.
After the leverage cleanup on the 10th, I should have given some sign of life.
The truth is that PWR is doing well and the project is in good health.
In any case, such level of cleanup made me rethink several things. The truth is that if I had been more greedy, I could easily have been liquidated. It never happened to me, but this was specially close (for my standards).
Many accounts with 2x leverage were liquidated; personally, I was at x1,5-1,7 leverage at the time.
So after thinking about it more carefully I got "scared" and reduced leverage almost completely.
It's always better to live another day to keep fighting.
PWR is going into "maintenaince mode"
And that simply means that I am going to simplify the things that require constant attention on my part. Some adjustments coming:
- Hive Power Delegation APR is going to be reduced down to ~10%.
15% is not sustainable in the long term. For now, I will reduce it and see what happens later, especially if I am going to be away for a few months.
This change will take effect around the first week of January.
So plenty of time to decide what to do with your Hive Power.
- I'm also bringing back (old) PWR staking rewards (Lottery System from HE).
For several months, staking PWR has yielded liquid HIVE as a reward.
I like the idea, but it works with custom code running on AWS, and right now I don't want to worry about maintaining it.
Therefore, we are going to temporarily return to the Hive Engine Mining Lottery system with a very low inflation parameter for PWR (1-2% will suffice for now). I'm probably going to start staking my own PWR & forget about it.
- Added Liquidity from @pwr-ventures to the LP
A couple weeks ago noticed that our #1 LP for the last 1-2 years exited the pool. I don't like the instability that this could cause, so I have taken some liquidity from the project and added it to the pool.
As a result, @pwr-ventures is now the biggest LP with the ~17% of the pool. I bought PWR with a few thousands of HIVE, therefore the PWR price increase from ~3 up to ~4,4 HIVE.
I wouldn't normally do something like this, but I insist, if I'm going to be partially absent for several months, it's the least I can do.
TL;DR
- I'm taking a break from Hive, I need to focus on other things.
- PWR keeps working as usual. Reports going out via email susbcription through substack (ping me if interested).
- Backup Witness will keep signing blocks as usual.
- Regarding governance, I'm only voting for the Return Proposal.

Em relação ao valor do PWR eu reparei no Beesawp, que o valor que eu tenho de PWR aproximadamente 203,7 tinha passado o valor médio das ultimas semanas que era de 80 e poucos dollars.
Continuarei a apoiar e sempre que possível aumentar a delegação de HP no teu projecto!
