Entering the final year of his rookie deal, Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr wanted to get an extension before training camp. Now he got it! The Oakland Raiders are making him the HIGHEST paid player in NFL history. The former 2014 second round pick out of Fresno State (Also produced Indiana Pacer's Paul George, New York Yankee's Aaron Judge, and Green Bay Packer's Devonte Adams etc.) is set to make $25 million dollars annually for the next 5 years after this year. Carr is still on his rookie deal and will make around $900,000 this season (could go up to 1.2 million). Also, the contract is $70 million guaranteed.

Raiders will be moving to Las Vegas 2019- 2020 (Stadium will be ready in 2020, could play at a neutral field in the area in 2019) so Carr will most likely ask to get most of his money on the back end of his deal. He will save millions of dollars because there are no state taxes in Nevada.
