What Makes Breathing Practice Easier to Stick With?

I’ve been reading more about breathing-focused exercises lately, especially how people fit them around cycling, rowing, running, or general fitness. One thing that seems easy to overlook is consistency.

A complicated routine is probably much harder to maintain than a short one that fits naturally before or after a workout. People also seem to approach breathing practice differently — some focus on rhythm, some on controlled resistance, and others simply pay more attention to breathing during harder efforts.

While looking into the different approaches, I found this overview of how breathing trainers work and what they’re designed to do useful because it explains the basic resistance-training concept without making the routine sound overly complicated.

What interests me most is the practical side. A breathing routine might sound easy on paper, but if it becomes another long workout to fit into the day, consistency probably becomes the bigger challenge.

For anyone who includes separate breathing practice in their routine, what has made it easiest to stay consistent — shorter sessions, doing it at the same time each day, or attaching it to another workout?
