Manalistas through the teaching of Felix Manalo believe and teach that Manalo is the "one shepherd" mentioned by the Lord Jesus Christ in John 10:16.
JOHN 10:16
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
A close look at John 10:16 tells us of these following vital information.
- There is a fold or a flock that exists.
- There are sheep that presently are in the fold.
- There are other sheep that presently are not within the fold - that the Lord Jesus will also bring to make "one flock.”
- The present sheep plus those that are to be brought into the fold to form "one flock" will have one and the same pastor or shepherd.
But here is the Pasugo of the Iglesia ni Cristo dated August 1976 (p.3) that says –
As long as there is a messenger commissioned by God, Christ could continue establishing His Church. It is precisely through the instrumentality of that one Pastor, realized in the person of Brother Felix Manalo, that Christ established His other sheep into one flock – that is the Church of Christ that emerged in the Philippines in 1914.
Pasugo then twists what was said in the bible and their teaching carries other loads: 1) That there must be a messenger; 2) That the church has to continue (Why? Did it stop?); 3) The one Pastor is Felix Manalo; 4) Christ established “the Church of Christ that emerged in the Philippines in 1914” or the Iglesia ni Cristo; 5) It was only in 1914 that this “other flock” was joined to the one flock.
Manalo as the one shepherd?
That Manalo is that one shepherd is outright presumptuousness of a people referred to in the Bible as "natural born beasts!” Right! The beasts work as team, reinforcing each other’s lie.
II PETER 2:10, 12
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
If we are in the setting where the Lord Jesus Christ is speaking, we can easily understand that the sheep that are in the fold the very moment he is uttering these words are the Israelites.
Meanwhile, the other sheep that are not yet within the fold, can be inferred from the biblical context and will possibility be Israelites that will be, by tomorrow, next week, or six months after, or a year after, called to the flock. Still, this “other sheep” could also be Gentiles that will be called by God to form part of the flock that "presently" during His declaration of the verse were not yet with the flock!
The present flock when He is uttering this declaration about "other sheep" were being shepherded by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. When the other sheep will be gathered together with the present, they will have "one shepherd" which one shepherd is impossible to be Manalo!
How can Manalo shepherd the sheep being at present shepherded by the Lord Jesus Christ? Sorry, but I find it so laughable, presumptuous, and borders on shamelessness. Are your members that stupid they believe those lies you concoct?
Not Filipinos but Israelites
Manalo and cohorts misinterpret Scriptures that "the other sheep" are Filipinos. Pasugo, January 1964, p.3 says in the vernacular –
So, the sheep of Jesus that were not in the fold when Christ was not here on earth, are from the Philippines (Filipinos). What did Jesus say that he would do to these sheep of his? He will make them one coral or will establish them as one church. It will be Christ who will establish it, and not Brother Manalo.
They out rightly disregard the truth that after the death and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ, sheep were called to the church and added to the flock. These are not Filipinos but Israelites.
THE ACTS 2:46-47, 41
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
These 3,000 souls (See how specific the Bible is about it?) that were added to the church in fulfillment of the pronouncement of the Lord Jesus about "other sheep" certainly did not refer to Filipinos.
Therefore, the first fulfillment of the declaration of the Lord Jesus Christ in 10:16 of John regarding the other sheep that are not of this fold, firstly, were Israelites. Secondly, a few years later, the Gentiles unto which the Apostle Paul preached the gospel were added also to the flock or the church!
THE ROMANS 16:5
Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
In fact, Paul successfully preached the church and was accepted in seven places in Asia Minor.
REVELATION 1:11
Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
In what space of time in the Bible and in history did it happen that Manalo and his cohort Filipinos crept into the history of the Christian church? Such a big lie! Such pretentious discourse in a dangerous game you play!
Speaking of reality, sheep understand the language of the shepherd.
JOHN 10:4-5
4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
Manalo, (No intention to denigrate), cannot even speak fluent English; more so, Hebrew, Latin, or Greek for him to qualify as a shepherd to the sheep shepherded by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Remember, they will be one fold - the present and the future sheep!! Hence, the one pastor must have the capacity to speak their languages!
I cannot in all honesty fathom how you and your ilk have dared to weave lies that far!
How dare any pretender and honor usurper inject himself as the one shepherd of the one flock shepherded by the Lord Jesus Christ - before and after the other sheep were called!
Simple understanding needed
Only about 5% of our thinking ability is needed to understand the simple truth that the other sheep in time and setting were not Filipinos. The possibility is after the Gentiles of the first century were called and added to the flock, in much later time Filipinos will be added also - but definitely not the way Manalo and cohorts misinterpret this verse.
Manalo cannot be the one shepherd to shepherd all the sheep of Christ! The past, the present, and the future sheep that will be called into the fold or in the church can have only one legitimate (in the truest sense of the word) shepherd. That is none other than the shepherd presently shepherding the flock when the Lord Jesus Christ said, "other sheep I have but not of this fold.”
"I" must bring them also. Christ must bring them also.
"They shall hear my voice." They shall hear Christ’s voice.
"They shall be one fold with one shepherd." Christ is speaking of Himself – the one shepherd. He is the one shepherd.
I PETER 2:24-25
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
That worthy Shepherd is the one who gave His life for the sake of the sheep.
JOHN 10:11
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Such life that is given for the sheep is a sinless life, and therefore can be given to many.
To further prove that the Lord Jesus Christ is the one Shepherd capable of shepherding Israelites, Gentiles (including, yes, Filipinos), and all sheep coming from all nations in all epoch of time, the truth was revealed through a vision to John.
REVELATION 7:9, 15-17 (ASV)
9 After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands;
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God; and they serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall spread his tabernacle over them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun strike upon them, nor any heat:
17 for the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them unto fountains of waters of life: and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.
The misrepresentations of Manalo and his cohorts cannot then be called innocent, accidental, a result of poor education but premeditated, calculated, and planned to fool people. Their Pasugo magazine, or what they refer to as God’s Message, again and again was being used to instill these lies with persistent instruction.
Woe unto those who usurp honors meant by God for the Lord Jesus Christ! Woe unto those who glorify themselves! Christ is the head of the church; the fullness is in him – not in any human being.
COLOSSIANS 1:18-19
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;

Pero aquí está el Pasugo de la Iglesia ni Cristo, de agosto de 1976 (p.3) que dice -
Mientras haya un mensajero encargado por Dios, Cristo puede seguir estableciendo su Iglesia. Es precisamente a través de la mediación de un pastor, realizado en la persona del hermano Félix Manalo, que Cristo estableció sus otras ovejas en un rebaño - es la Iglesia de Cristo que surgió en las Filipinas en 1914.

12 Mas éstos, diciendo mal de las cosas que no entienden, (como bestias brutas, que naturalmente son hechas para presa y destrucción), perecerán en su perdición,
Si estamos en el entorno en el que el Señor Jesucristo está hablando, podemos entender fácilmente que las ovejas que están en el redil el mismo momento que hablaba estas palabras son los hijos de Israel.
Mientras tanto, las otras ovejas que no están todavía dentro del redil, hay la posibilidad que se pueda referir bíblicamente a los israelitas que serán, mañana, la próxima semana, o seis meses después, o un año después, llamado al rebaño . Sin embargo, estas "otras ovejas" también podrían ser gentiles que serán llamados por Dios a formar parte del rebaño que "actualmente" durante su declaración del versículo aún no estaban en el ¡rebaño!
El presente rebaño cuando pronunciaba esta declaración acerca de "otras ovejas" estaban siendo pastoreada por el Señor Jesucristo mismo. Cuando las otras ovejas se reunieron en este presente, tendrán "un Pastor", ¡en el cual no es posible que "un solo Pastor" sea Manalo!
¿Cómo puede Manalo pastorear las ovejas siendo en la actualidad guiado por el Señor Jesucristo? Lo siento, pero me parece tan ridículo, presuntuoso, y lleno de desvergüenza. ¿Son sus miembros muy estúpidos que creen esas mentiras inventadas?
No los Filipinos sino los Israelitas
Manalo y sus cohortes malinterpretan las Escrituras que "las otras ovejas" son filipinos. Pasugo, enero de 1964, p.3 dice en el vernáculo -
Así pues, las ovejas de Jesús que no estaban en el rebaño cuando Cristo no estaba aquí en la tierra, ya, son de las Filipinas (filipinos). ¿Qué dijo Jesús que iba a hacer a estas ovejas suyas? Él hará un solo corral o establecerá como una iglesia. Será Cristo, quien la establecerá, y no el hermano Manalo.
Ellos ignoran rotundamente la verdad que después de la muerte y la ascensión del Señor Jesucristo, las ovejas fueron llamados a la iglesia y fueron agregados a la grey. Estos no son los filipinos, sino los israelitas.
HECHOS 2:46-47, 41

Estos 3.000 almas (Vea ¿Cómo la Biblia es específica al respecto?) fueron añadidas a la iglesia en el cumplimiento del pronunciamiento del Señor Jesús acerca de "otras ovejas" ciertamente no se refieren a los filipinos.
Por lo tanto, el primer cumplimiento de la declaración del Señor Jesucristo en 10:16 de Juan sobre las otras ovejas que no son de este redil, en primer lugar, eran israelitas. Hablando de la realidad, las ovejas entienden el lenguaje del pastor.

5 Mas al extraño no seguirán, antes huirán de él, porque no conocen la voz de los extraños.
Manalo, (sin la intención de denigrar), ni siquiera puede hablar con fluidez Inglés; más aún, hebreo, latín o griego para que él califique como un pastor de las ovejas guiado por el Señor Jesucristo.
Recuerden, ellos serán un rebaño - ¡las presentes y las futuras ovejas! ¡Por lo tanto, el pastor debe tener la capacidad de hablar sus lenguas!
No puedo, con toda honestidad, ¡comprender cómo tú y tus secuaces se han atrevido a llevar estas mentiras tan lejos!

"Serán un solo rebaño con un solo pastor." Cristo habla de sí mismo - el pastor. Él es el pastor.
I PEDRO 2:24-25
24 él mismo llevó nuestros pecados en su cuerpo sobre el madero, para que nosotros siendo muertos a los pecados, vivamos a la justicia, por cuya herida habéis sido sanados.

Las fasificaciones de Manalo y sus cohortes no se les puede llamar inocente, un accidente, un resultado de la mala educación, sino premeditado, calculadores, y planificadores para engañar a la gente. Su revista Pasugo, o lo que ellos se refieren como el mensaje de Dios, una y otra vez esta siendo utilizada para inculcar estas mentiras con instrucción persistente.
¡Ay de los que usurpan honores destinados por Dios para el Señor Jesucristo! ¡Ay de los que se glorifican a sí mismos! Cristo es la cabeza de la iglesia; la plenitud está en él - no en cualquier ser humano.
COLOSENSES 1:18-19
18 El es también la cabeza del cuerpo que es la iglesia; y El es el principio, el primogénito de entre los muertos, a fin de que El tenga en todo la primacía.
19 Porque agradó al Padre que en El habitara toda la plenitud,

Definitivamente, torcer las escrituras es fácil cuando hay una grey que lo sigue. Manalo nunca podrá ser ese pastor de las otras ovejas, pues fueron añadidas justamente en el tiempo de los apóstoles.
