Okay, so in late 2016 i built a new computer.
an AMD FX-8350, a GTX 1060 6GB, it was a good system (even though i regret not waiting for ryzen) and it did what i wanted it to do. Which was video Editing. so I bought this new computer because my somewhat good Laptop broke, and i needed a new powerful computer for my video editing hobby, pretty much like 1-2 months after the new computer was up and running my camera broke. well shit, now i had a computer but no camera! so i started saving my money for a new camera, which takes a long time because i don't have that much money... and the switch came out.
fast forward to today.
I now (almost) have the money for a camera and other equipment, but now my computer is dead again.
I was watching some youtube and dtube videos and then i heared an "electronic crack" coming from my computer and it turned off.
That was 2 hours ago and i haven't been able to turn it back on again since.
I pulled my PC out from under my desk aannd there was a small worm..thing on the floor from under my pc, right were the power supply would be. so my first thought was "oh wow, that fucker crawled into my psu".
i also have a few other reasons that make me think the psu is dead,
one - this is the same psu i had in my case since.. 2011/2012, because i always reused the case and didnt want to buy a new power supply.
two - i think i ran that psu right at the limit..
three - a few days ago i was like "hey let's try mining some bitcoin on this thing, so i downloaded nicehash" which pushed the hardware way more than, watching videos, or editing stuff does.
and also, a few hours before this happened i noticed that my computer kinda restarted on its own, not acctually restarting but just turning off and then booting again.
So here i am, with a broken computer, but hey i have enough money to buy a camera now, so i can film my broken pc... and then not do much with that film.. yay.
