A few hours ago, OpenAI just released Atlas, its new web browser
The new browser era has just started. A few days ago, on October 2nd, Perplexity Comet was released worldwide, it was just a matter of time that other AI companies would do the same and Open AI just presented Atlas a few hours ago, only available on Apple at the present time. The browser can take control of your apps and do some tasks such as opening maps to suggest you best way to go to some place, create and send emails following your instructions or create spreadsheet files which formulas you would spend hours to setup. We have to see how these new tools take market share from Google Chrome over time.
I am not very keen on using tools which monitor all your activity and can take control of your stuff but I understand many will love the productivity this tools can introduce into your daily tasks.
Meanwhile, other AI tools such as Venice AI , let you use their agent without sharing any information from your searches.
