If you embrace the idea of bitcoin, then don't worry if it goes up or down. Just dollar cost average and do the same purchase amount every week or every month. If you're a buyer, you want it to go down actually. The reason it may stay down clear out until early March is that investors will be waiting for 1st QTR earnings results to see if GOP tax cut is biting in to improve productivity. But it it shows that productivity and job creation isn't that much better, because companies hord and don't reinvest well, then cryptocurrencies might look attractive as the flight to safety starts.
