BTC below 70k

A lot of people didn't see this coming, but here we are, BTC is now below 70k. 3 months ago, it was chilling at 121k in November and I guess that was actually the top.

The market actually went through way it should, the only difference was that we never had a true alt season.

However it's atypical to see the market capitulate just immediately in the first two months of the year after a true bull market. Usually happens around the 5 to the 7th month and does so slowly.

Of course, the market doesn't always have to resemble or completely mirror the previous cycles, but this is a perfect proof to show that the market might follow a pattern, but not exactly mirror that pattern.

In reality we're already seeing a market pattern that resembles the bear market, and I'm afraid to say that the bear market might have actually began.

I think we might see a few corrections here or there and the market going up a little, but this would follow with crazy sharp dumps that might continue until it stops in 2028, just before the BTC halving.

For me, I think BTC might be staying at 35 to 45k levels by December and possible dump to 30k by the end of 2027, and probably bottom in January 2028. This would mean that the best time to buy BTC would be December 2027, because 2028 will be the year of the halving.

However, I might be wrong and this isn't the beginning of the bear market, but the chances of this being the case is actually very slim and almost unattainable.

This is very likely the beginning of a bear market without an alt season. A friend said to me. Sell whenever there's a pump as there might no longer be a stipulated bull market season anymore. So here's is it.

When we begin to get close to a halving year and you begin to see a significant x10 from a low lows sell and take profit from any alt you hold, because honestly. "Why did you sell" is always going to be better than "why didn't you sell?" Once again, this is another dimensional shift to how the market now works, and we have to play the game.

Will the alt market still pump?

Of course, alt will pump.. timing might be shorter, maybe one to two months, but they definitely will and we just have to wait, prepare, sell, take profit and buy back when it's lower again.

Unfortunately this might take 2 years before it eventually happens again, because the chances that the bear season is here is 99%

Sort:

Right. The drop happens so fast with no sideways movement to catch a break. I've read people predicting that a bounce is near and the button is in but it doesn't look like that so far. Max pain will probably come when the market turns choppy for months on end with weak bounces along the way :(

Well the people saying the bottom is in could be right, but the chances are very low.. I think there might be price recovery before we begin to dump madly again.

More worried about HBD, as stable coin this is not good

That's why I always say the witnesses have to be proactive and do better for the chain. They're selected to make decisions for the sake of the chain, but I don't see much coming from them, and it's sad

Not saying i am skilled to judge their work - HBD was back to peg, then down, the up again so seems sth happening - re general witness work oh well - i think the chain could benefit from more power of other users with ideas that do not get their ususal witness or proposal earnings. Maybe now a chance to get rid of shit and reset, make marketing better, get cool investor by cool real relevant use cases.

I agree with you. I think there are users who don't want the witnesses earning, and are innovative enough to have great ideas to benefit the chain. The problem is that the chain doesn't have a process to spot these people, recognize them and empower them to bring the change we need. Also the witness position never changes too much, so probably that's why.

Not saying a bad thing but it is the nature of DPoS system plus other past things based on Steemit stakes :-)

well considering it went from 60k to 16k in 2021-2022 you could expect it to go down to 40-50k... but i just wont make any prediction anyways, trump tweets screw up cycles and such

I think 30 to 40k is possible, but the 4 years cycle is next. If we get any mini pumps at least a x10 I'll be selling and taking profit as I don't really trust the market to deliver when we expect it to.

Down and down she goes, where she stops nobody knows...

It's looking pretty ugly, that much for sure. Half of the high back in October! The winter is here to say sadly.

Hahaha, BTC didn't do a x3 like it does in previous bull markets, this is strange but I guess it's what it is. Looks like sadly it's going to be 2028 before we get any pumps again

I have a feeling that the alts won't be pumping anytime soon, and that the world is changing fast. I have a feeling that BTC will be heading down a bit more before it goes back up. It should recover eventually though.

I think we'd still get alt season in the coming market, I just think it's sad to wait 4 years and never get that chance to experience a true alt seasot

That bear really did some red damage to the market😁.

It definitely did

hive is just dumping more n more

It's not Hive's fault, take a look at the general market
