I also stopped using FB, when I got on the Steemwagon and never looked back.
Steemit is not Facebook though - this is a blogging platform for the 5% content creators, while FB consists mainly of the other 95% of people who are consumers.
We shouldn't mix this up. Maybe there will be more FB-like apps running on the ♨ blockchain and SMT in the future, that are a better fit for the consumer category...

There are a lot of reasons Steemit should NOT be like Facebook. Also, the services available on Steemit allow many of the things that facebook has to be able to be created here. Such as marketplaces, ads, communities, etc.
