In my honest opinion i think this is an excellent development, although i am new user but i took time to see the available options of conversion of rewards. In as much as the methods are pretty good they are limiting in the sense they do not allow much freedom as regards the conversion of STEEM or SBD to actual currency.
But one thing that is important to observe an take proactive step to prevent or reduce is the challenge or challenges that might come with peer to peer exchange. The very first challenge i suspect is the security of exchange. There should be some mechanism in place to ensure trust during such transaction and i will recommend "Escrow".
