ERIE COUNTY ‘ERIE GROWN’ AGRICULTURAL GOVERNMENT PROGRAM

Watch here:

Erie County Office of Agriculture presents ‘Erie Grown’ Farm Awareness government program to promote direct-to-consumer farm sales. Program presents ‘Erie Grown’ passport. Concerns raised over increasing government control over agriculture and the increasing digitization of agriculture. References to COVI-pass and ID2020 made.

Recently, Erie County through its Erie County Office of Agriculture and a few other departments has implemented a new Erie County government program called ‘Erie Grown’ which aims to provide resources that will connect consumers to farmers so that consumers can locate and directly buy directly from farmers. Among other things, the program contains its own website with a directory and ARCGIS map of all of the farmers who participate in this program. The program has recently announced the establishment of an “Erie County passport” to participate in this program as well.

While I am supportive of the concept and implementation of citizens participating in farm-to-table commerce, removing the grocery stores from the equation, I am NOT supportive of the concept of government programs that are getting involved as being the intermediary and establishing a so-called passport as part of this program.

Taking a few pages from the annals of history, the food supply control handed over to the government, in tandem with disarming the citizens, is one of the key precursors to government-inflicted mass genocides of citizens. It happened with Stalin. It happened with Mao. It happened with countless others. For this reason, any sane person would understand the importance of maintaining the private autonomy of the food supply, allowing its decentralized nature to be its strength.

Yet, in this day-and-age, with the increased digitization of agriculture and worsening government overreach, the government, in a few years, may find itself to have the ability to use advanced artificial intelligence, satellite-guided geolocation, and data analytics to control information flow about transportation and the production of our food supply. It is for this reason that it is incumbent on all of us to at the very least maintain awareness of this serious risk, and look to develop/invest in ethical private institutions seeking to perform these functions that have the farmers’ and citizenrys’ backs.

The idea of the “passport” also sets of alarm bells in the respect that the term has been thrown around in recent days by globalist Davos billionaires who have backgrounds in eugenics and sinister agendas. Projects like the COVI-pass seek to control everyone’s medical and data privacy. Projects like ID2020, by eugenicist Bill Gates, seek to take that a step further by microchipping every human like a dog, so that they can be geolocated from anywhere.

We all must be wary of the dangers of the increasing government involvement in our agricultural, and work to mitigate this and call it out at all costs.
