The steemit markdown renderer and parser is so full of bugs. I can rattle off at least 3 or 4 examples off the top of my head, that have existed forever, and have never been fixed. When I posted them on steem, others chimed in and concurred about their workarounds. I could find every bug there is in them, but what's the point.
