Let's Bathe

This is probably one of my most problematic pieces I have done so far.Since I have decided to commit to cold porcelaine clay(I will make it!)I have been slowly consuming whatever air dry clay I have in stock. This is a part of that stock.

The drama is that this piece does not attach to each other after moistening it with water. So I used UV resin to keep it intact.

Yes.The resin made a great water effect but I did not originally intend it to be so.....I was limiting the use on the bottom part where the broken egg/tub is.But after an overnight of drying, the pieces started to break apart.I woke up with a literal nightmare.

I made the piece as I usually do my character.

In honor of my Filipino heritage I decided to include a tabo or a water trough.I grew up using this.

And I placed the creation under the sun and started the "water effect."I used a UV resin to cure it.Just a fun fact: UV resin cures faster under the sun and if done outdoors its safer since the fumes released when it hardens are literally "diluted" by the open air. Yes.I love using the sun as my UV light.

In the end I am just really so proud and happy of me because I was able to do the dripping effect. Here are a closer look.

I know that it pales in comparison with the other works I've done but who cares?I was able to salvage something from a damaged work.
