Pre baking: example

Creating this piece required me to prebake the biscuit. As I have mentioned in my previous post, sometimes, we need to prebake in order to ensure that the details are not mooshed up.

I want this biscuit detail to stay on. So I first made the details, pre bake it for 10 minutes and, went back working on the piece.

There is no set rules on when you can start adding details to your pre baked pieces but for me, I wait for the pieces to cool down completely before I start working on them again.

I also thought that instead of the usual black lines to make the detail on the mouth, I could just cut it off with my knife.

Here is the finished product. If you compare the last picture( the rabbit was not baked yet), you can't see any different at all.

I originally intended this to be a keychain for me but I decided to just make a figurine out of it. So here is the finished product- this is made out of polymer clay.
