in #building6 years ago

Who does not know the tallest building in the world today, it has been famous since 2010 until now (2018)? Of course everyone has already known about it, that is Burj Kalif, the tallest building that has broken the world record.

The height of the building is approximately 828 meters and has a lift with the longest mileage in the world. Buj Kalifa has many floors, so they must provide the highest lift service in the world. In addition to these facts, it turns out Burj Kalifa has the highest observation deck in the world. Therefore it obtains a record with the highest occupied floor in the world.

The Burj Kahlifa building was named by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. The construction of the Burj Kalifa building began in 2004 until it was completed in 2010. Bill Baker is the architect behind the construction of the tallest building in the world. With his humble statement that he said not because of the height of the building that made it interesting to build the building, he also hopes the highest building record can be broken by the higher building in the future.

Well, this current post I attempt to summarize several more unique facts owned by Burj Kalifa. Here you go:

  • As I mentioned above, the height of the Burj Khalifa reaches 828 meters or in other words a 2,716.5 foot that stands firmly in the center city of Dubai. If we compare with the Eiffel tower, then the height is 3 times higher than the Eiffel Tower and two times higher than the Empire State Building.

  • The concrete weight of this building is equivalent to 100,000 elephants. Then the total weight of aluminum used in the Burj Khalifa building is equivalent to five A380 aircraft.

  • It takes about 15 million gallons of water every year.

  • The elevator at Burj Kalifa can reach the 140th floor, and this is the elevator with the furthest distance. For the speed, the elevator can reach 10 meters per second so don't be surprised if this elevator is the fastest elevator in the world. It takes only about a minute to arrive at the observation deck on the 124th floor.

  • From Burj Khalifa we can see the land up to 95 kilometers away.

  • At the top of Burj Kalifa floors, there are about 12,000 workers working to build the building every day.

  • It takes more than 110,000 tons of concrete, 55,000 tons of steel, and it takes about 22 million hours to complete the construction of this building.

  • This building foundation excavation began in January in 2004. After 6 years later, Burj Khalifa officially opened, precisely in January of 2010. I think it is very fast progress to build such a tall building.
