Years back, my boss, and a coworker of mine, both kept telling me to put my money into low fee, market index funds, and just let it sit there until retirement. Just keep putting money in every paycheck, even more than I felt I could spare. There was no reason to even watch the stock market. When retirement finally came, I was completely shocked.
