I started as a Test Engineer right after college. I switched across a few roles on the same program, and my longest time was as an Integration Engineer where I traveled around 50% of the time installing systems at customer locations. Eventually I moved into Project Management and picked up a lot from our PM. When he retired a few years back, I think I had made myself the clear replacement.
