My favorite co Forman at my last job got into an elevator mechanic program. My boss brought him in hoping he could talk him into staying there. My boss didn’t even try to negotiate once he heard elevator mechanic. He knew they sit at the top of the trade pay sheet and couldn’t match anything close to his pay
I think he was making like $30 starting out but worked 4 10s Monday - Thursday. Friday - Sunday was double time. I guess once you’re not an apprentice it jumps to $45-50 a hour. He seems to be doing really well com. A lot better than the $24 we were making
