Thank you for running this great competition @aggroed - you're doing a lot of good for the Steem blockchain and I hope to return the favour by creating something that also gives back to the Steem blockchain and helps others. I'll have a post out shortly highlighting what I want to achieve and other details. But anyone reading this, the intention is to open source everything that I build and create something that will allow others to build their own marketplaces.
I have already created the token that the Gift Card marketplace is going to use, called "Marketplace Token" here. The goal is these tokens will be earned through transactions on the platform, possibly used as a utility to reduce fees and other features of the marketplace. They'll be a part of a more broad umbrella where I envision multiple marketplaces all using this token as a utility token.
A special congratulations to the other entrants @freebornangel @riseofth @grid9games for their entries and ENG winnings to create their own tokens. I look forward to seeing what everyone else builds as well.
