Have you noticed how education is going online?
In fact, online learning and digital courses have become one of the popular digital products of the decade.
E-learning market size was valued over $165 billion in 2015 and is likely to grow at over 5% rate from 2016 to 2023 to market size of $240 billion according to Global Market Insights research.
Then on the flip-side a study has been done by CollegeBoard showing that college costs are rising faster than financial aid!
And results are felt already at higher education schools where 52% of private colleges and 44% of public colleges didn’t meet their enrolment goals according to survey by the Chronicle of Higher Education!
Here’s what’s happening in plain English:
- Traditional education is getting more expensive, while at the same time not being able to keep up with rapidly changing world
- It has never been easier creating online courses online and explain complex topics through video than it is now
- If 12 years ago it would have cost around $100K to build an online school, now you can do it for FREE!
As we notice this trend, we should take advantage of it, right?
That's where online course platforms come in!
I was myself very confused at first when looking for the best way to start selling course online.
Not so long ago in order to launch a protected online course membership site you would spend thousands of dollars and couldn’t do the job without a team of programmers and designers.
The landscape has changed however.
Nowadays we suffer of other side of the madness.
We have so many solutions, that we end up confused and paralysed because we don’t want to make a mistake!

Which one is better?
That's the big question!
As I wanted to find answer myself even after using both of these platforms, I dug really deep:
- I scoured the Knowledge base to understand the deepest features of these platforms
- I researched the backstory and potential future of both of these companies
- I read everything there was online about Thinkific and Teachable

I came up with a huge 8K word article, that dives in deep, deeper than ANYONE has dived before.
The answer?
The answer is: IT DEPENDS.
It depends on your needs.
There is a reason why 800 people type in Google every month — “Thinkific vs Teachable”.
The reason is because these companies are both VERY GOOD.
They are quite similar and only differentiate on deeper layers.
That's why I recommend you to read the big guide yourself and jump to your interesting section.
For example:
I talked to a friend yesterday. He chose Teachable because he needs to sell courses in Latvian language.
Thinkific allows specific languages (latvian is small and isn't supported) while Teachable allows you to translate EVERYTHING.
So that's why this need made the choice simple for you.
For others white-labeling will be nr.1 priority and there Thinkific is better, because it allows to remove ANY sign that Thinkific is used.
Teachable still has Teachable branding in checkout/login URLS even on their pro plans.
So again.
IT DEPENDS.

Great post there. The internet has many 'teach' site. We're not sure anymore which is better. As for Thinkific and Teachable. I'd say they all have their pros and cons. Great post
