Another Movie Chain Will Take Cryptocurrencies

in #business2 years ago (edited)

AMC previously announced that they would make the move to start accepting cryptocurrency for movie tickets. AMC is the largest theater chain in the U.S., coming in ahead of competitors like Regal and Cinemark Theatres.

Now there is one more movie theater chain that is also looking to get into taking crypto as payments and that is Regal Cinemas which recently announced that they too will start accepting cryptocurrencies.

AMC has over 600 locations in the United States and Regal also has hundreds of theatres around the country too. Together they operate tens of thousands of movie screens and across dozens of different states.

AMC won't just be taking bitcoin either, they are looking at other cryptocurrencies as well like ethereum, bitcoin cash, litecoin, and more.

Right now AMC has started officially accepting cryptocurrencies for online purchases.

Regal is also going to do the same in looking to take more than just one sort of cryptocurrency as payment, this means welcoming others like litecoin, ethereum, and maybe even dogecoin.

What movie chain, bank, car rental company, or other retailer is going to be next to accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? Those who aren't looking to embrace cryptocurrencies are going to have a difficult time competing with other companies that are already making those moves to embrace the market and cater to those customers.
