Garments manufacturing is a process in which fabric is passes through some specific processes to make a final product. Final product like a shirt, trouser, jacket is then dispatched from industry to customer.
Garments manufacturing plant can be started with small investment of $2000 only. Reason is that you don't need much expensive machinery or labor. Process flowchart is as follows:
- First of all fabric is ordered in a processing industry; dyed or white fabric (processed)
- After that fabric will arrive in your unit (small mill). You will investigate it by point system to check its faults.
- If fabric quality and aesthetic look is OK then it will be spread on the table (long plane surface table).
- After spreading you need a cutter to cut it into required parts of final product like pocket, sleeves, leg tubes etc.
*To cut pieces according to size of product you need marker (specific template of all parts of product) making to get all of your parts of garment. According to your marker (template) you will cut the fabric. - Then these cut pieces are transferred to the stitching machine to stitch it
- After stitching garment is washed to take some effects (Specially in case of Denim jeans)
- Washed garment is then finished by attaching accessories like buttons, rivets, and company monogram etc.
- Ironing & Packing of garment and then dispatching to the customer.
For all these processes following equipment you need:
*Proper place having area at least 20 Marla (1 canal)
*Safe Building having four parts
*If your budget range is less than $2000 then 5 sewing machines (May be second hand)
*15 Number of workers (Have a deal with stitching master; Give 40% profit of per piece of garment; means that if final product say, shirt is being sold at the rate of $20 then give $7 to stitching master)
*A cutting machine (costs up to $100
*Washing machine (Simple washing machine costs $35)
*Most important is to have relationship with market buyers and customers (You can also make your own outlet with your brand name)
*Packing facilities
*A bike with a loader to dispatch your final garment pieces to the destination (If customer demands for it)
