There is no doubt the cannabis industry is worth billions currently and will be growing exponentially as the years go on. As a young entrepreneur that regularly consumes cannabis, I figured why not get into this industry! I have been in the business for 2+ years and it really is something that I am passionate about, way better than working a 9-5 job. I plan on expanding the business into different areas and to have our own lab tested wax pen cartridges along with our own flower line.
It all started right after high school, I was just a normal distributor. I knew there was lots of money to be made in the industry. Currently I have a licensed marijuana delivery service with multiple drivers working for me delivering around 30 orders a day. The business itself makes 5 figures profit a month, I pay my drivers to deliver all the product for me and I basically collect the money. We have lots of plans with the business, the industry is still in its infancy, the weed entrepreneurs call it the Green Rush! Our goal is to have a delivery operation in every city, county, state. I run not even that big of an area in California, and yet the business makes very good money, I can only imagine what it would be like running the entire county or even state! Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic for this goal, all I know is that I want it to happen. It will happen.
I used to have a online graphic design business when I was in high school. If it wasn't for my experience in photoshop, I do not think the delivery service would be where it is at. I mastered the designs and theme I wanted the business to have, I believe branding and how it appeals to the consumer is very very important. I got my real estate license at the age of 19. I was pursuing the real estate agent career, but unfortunately it doesn't seem like its me, I want to get into real estate investing, but being a real estate agent just does not appeal too much to me, even though there is good money to be made in California real estate. I want to use my real estate contacts to help me with buying a business / storefront to expand the business to a delivery service and storefront in one. This is the beginning of a adventure I am not sure where it will take me exactly, I know it will take me far. I do have many stories to tell with the ups and downs of the business along with how I actually run the business. I do not know how many cannabis consumers are on Steemit, but I will like to post more content depending on reviews I get :)
Welcome to Steem! The cannabis community is fairly small, but we are like family. We are pushing for Steem to be the go to platform for cannabis content, and for businesses to promote their product, and even accept Steem, or Weedcash for it.
I would recommend for you to use the tag Weedcash for your cannabis content, so that way your post is also published to the cannabis front end of Steem. Check it out
https://weedcash.network/
You could also log into Weedcash using your posting key, and just post directly from there as you would on Steem. Any questions, fell free to join the Canna-Curate Discord by clicking the banner at the bottom.
Ps you can add the weedcash tag in 24 hours, and your post will be published to Weedcash. I would advise you replace it with the marijuana tag.
Ha, the cannabis and cryptocurrency combination's potent. I'd tune in, even if I rep the East Coast! If I can see your company deliver to my area in the future, I don't see why I wouldn't tag along on your journey!
Much appreciated feedback! I want to post more stories with how my business has been going, along with future updates with how the business is doing and what things I am doing for it. I believe most people have not really seen what it takes to run a cannabis business from a owner point of view, it is a taboo topic in a way that I would want to talk about.
I agree with the asthetics needing to be on point. It’s essential these days with digital marketing.
I’m digging the Vice City vibes.
Thank you! the vice city theme is a theme not really used a lot and the 80's design is something I was comfortable doing with my graphic design business. It isn't a common style I thought I could bring back to light.
"why not get involved in legalized cannabis"
Because it makes you a sellout, because you are hurting your fellow cannabis user, because it puts nonviolent growers in prison, because your tax dollars go to busting patients trying to stay functional with cannabis outside the legal regime. because legal weed is shitty, because it's toxic, because it allows pesticides and fungicides that havent been tested, just like the legalized tobacco industry. Because legal weed doesn't allow branding or logos or anything to do with the real cannabis culture, just block lettering and government warnings about how dangerous cannabis is. because legal weed comes in 10 times the necessary plastic packaging. because there's a snitch line to turn in anyone growing or selling outside the legal regime. because legal (licensed) insiders lobby government and police to crack down on the black market, ie, on freedom. because a plant should never be legalized, just decriminalized. because legalization stands for control and profit, not liberty.
but hey yeah if there is a buck to be made why not right??
