Amazon is headquartered in seattle ,WA ans fueled the growth of the city in many ways . It has increased income ,housing values and a vibrant startup ecosystem in Seattle. As with many tech majors, it also foster new challenges, rising housing and living cost, displacing ordinary workers, pollution and so on.

When Amazon annouced its plan to have a second headquarters ,many cities—238 in all—accepted the call. The economic benefits are huge. 5 billion in investment, high paying jobs and many thousands of support jobs.A recent study showed Amazon Hq2 could provide $17 billion in economic benefit per year. The other factor to count is a statup eco system and economic activity fostered by presence of amazon.
