Money changers in Menteng and Kwitang, Jakarta, were crowded with visitors after the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar weakened on Saturday (28/4/2018).
The visitors crowded the money changer to sell dollars worth Rp13.900. As for the purchase price of Rp13.875.
The high selling value of the dollar makes this place crowded by customers. In the past week, the number of visitors has gone up, 60 percent of whom have come to sell the dollar.
The weakening of the rupiah against the US dollar is exploited by dollar owners. They deliberately exchange their dollars when prices soar to make a profit.
