The thing that really scares me about this post is that it sounds like you are planning an exit strategy for the first time since I've met you. If Steemit is close to losing DaveMcCoy then they are close to losing the whole freaking thing.
I'm going to ride this horse until I'm sure it's dead. But seeing a Mr. Steemit candidate on the edge frankly gives me the willies.

Regarding whether I have an exit strategy, I think that is very perceptive on your part. I wouldn't leave lightly (as I have many friends here), so its not anything imminent for sure. But if they make it so that people that are small on this platform can't freely communicate and engage with others, then I will eventually leave for sure.
For you and anyone to know though, I will fight hard to change it first. I will do my best to help them to realize that making people "choose" whether to engage or not is counterproductive. I am actually concerned that they've gone too far here. So you are correctly seeing the worry come through. I do think they will fix it (if they want to be a social network), the question I have is will they fix it before most of my friends leave?
