Thanks for the insightful analysis. I fully agree with on the point where how we marketed Steem wrong in the first place. Because of that, most Steemians joined having the expectations to get rich. Many of them left disappointed when they can are only making under $0.10 per post.
That has to change and we need to start attracting users who are not here for the money. Instead, we should be drawing interest from authors on Medium or Redditors. Rewards are just a token of appreciation and not meant to replace your day job.

Yeah i remember when i joined and watched videos by jerry banfield and joe parys and thought i had found a goldmine! It is hard to keep going after that when you realise that just isnt the reality.
I agree we do need to bring in redditors - i think they would be right at home on Steem!
