Las criptomonedas cada día van cobrando más importancia y gusto por las personas debido a sus bondades y a la comodidad al momento de realizar transacciones inclusive al dia de hoy el mercado de criptomonedas tienen una capitalización de $432.198.409.839 lo que lo hace muy atractivo para los ciber delincuentes que están utilizando una modalidad que en los últimos meses es muy popular y es el CryptoJacking que consiste en uso secreto y sin autorización de un equipo informático (Computadora, Tablet, Laptop Smartphone) para minar y obtener criptomonedas. Utilizando el poder del CPU además corre en segundo plano haciendolo dificil de detectar un truco muy común es con los navegador ya que utiliza Javascript para implementar los mineros en cualquier dispositivo que visite el sitio web infectado pero al momento de salir del sitio este proceso se detiene pero eso no queda allí pueden tratar de abrir una ventana oculta para poder seguir con la extracción de monedas.

- Mal funcionamiento de algunos programas
- Ralentización para ejecutar procesos
- En los Smartphone y tablet disminución considerada de la batería
Qué podemos hacer
- Sistema operativo actualizado
- instalar antivirus y ejecutar revisiones con regularidad
- evitar los sitios web pornograficos, descargas, juegos en linea ya que son los preferidos para alojar sus scripts.
- Utilizar extensiones que bloquea automáticamente los mineros de javascripts mas comunes.
- No instalar programas de fuentes desconocidas o sospechas
- Evitar la conexiones WI-FI públicas
- Considera el uso del navegador opera que ofrece protección nativa contra mineros.
Como en todo lo relacionado a temas de seguridad informática, la educación y el sentido común son claves para evitar convertirnos en víctimas de estas prácticas como el cryptojacking.
