SUMMARY
BitShares (BTS) is not a crap coin! One thing for sure is that it's not declining because BTS is a bad coin or a dead coin..not at all! It's called a correction. And a healthy one for that matter! My personal impression is that not too long from now, most cryptocurrency exchanges will be run on the decentralized platform. In fact, most exchanges, including the NYSE, NASDAQ, Nikeii, Kosdaq; etc, will be running on a decentralized blockchain platform which could become the golden standard. It would be priceless to see such a transformation of transparency!
The below chart contains slight updates to the prior Elliott Waves of the correcion that's in progress.The red a,b,c waves could be in based on the subwaves...however, this correction is too fast. It doesn't adhere to the "Hurry Up & Wait" syndrome of the Altcoins. The impulse waves (1,2,3,4,5) almost always completed with rapid movements and the corrections are near guaranteed to be slowere than molasses flowing uphill, outdoors in Maine in the middle of January! Yes, that slow with grueling churn of price at a slower pace than an ant walking a mile! So, I well expect this down wave to bounce and likely morph into one of the 36 corrective combinations.
This chart provides more of a bigger picture perspective. The Cup & Handle pattern is quite visible and how the current correction fits into the pattern. If the prior five waves (i,ii,iii,iv,v) represent wave 1 of a higher degree of trend; then the subsequent red a,b,c then represents the wave 2; it woudl naturally mean that wave 3 is in progress and the current rise and correction represents 1 and 2 of higher degree wave 3. Now that's exciting! The MACD shows a bit of oversold zone so a bounce could be visible.

lets do some digging. that was only 1st page of a google search lol. Seems like scammers are trying to take advantage of hype. I like bts idea but if they are involved too I might, heck I'll probably still trade it because none of this shit means anything. We all speculate on price and could care less about any fundamentals. 95% of coins have no fundamentals anyway, barely even got working mvps or profit producing products.
Time will tell regarding ARISE. There are enough people claiming "scam" without evidence. These guys want/need to hold their info close to the vest and as a private business, they are entitled to. I can see how a community built around open source would react negatively to this strategy but at the same time, let's give them a chance and see if they can bring other assicated businesses up with them. I won't buy the coins from their ICO at $1.45 but I will buy them on the secondary market after all this FUD hopefully drives the price down and they show some actual working product.
Ouch. Thank you for this... very sketchy. .. And I was just about to buy some today. The article doesn't say much about BTS other than they openly state they plan to "do business" with these aparrant frauds. That doesn't reflect well on Bitshares, imo

Getting BTS when you first have a crypto is easy enough. OP said he was missing a way of going from fiat money to BTS though. Then getting another crypto from for example Coinbase first seems to be the way to go. Soon we will probably be able to go directly from fiat as well, with Arisebank joining the BTS team.

Yes a bigger market is needed (bts volume is good) but it also offers things you can't get anywhere else.
Collateralise BTS for bit.usd loan and buying more BTS with it as a for instance. Time that one right and your laughing.
I'm sure smart traders will make bucks and move over.

It’s interest free but if you do it just realise what you are risking because it’s very easy to move that collateral slider and get your self a maximised loan. I’m holding on by a thread right now..

This is all new to me but I have been considering bitshares as I believe it would be faster doing transactions. im wondering how to get past the slow transactions with Bitcoin right now. Total novice really so any advice very welcome. Think i need study some termonology to make sense of it all lol
Cheapest and easiest way might be to buy Litecoin and send it to bisthares using Blocktrades, which will automatically convert to BTS for you. The Litecoin transaction will show within minutes, and necessary 6 confirmations within 20 minutes ! oh and its cheap !

Everyone does realise there’s so much confirmation bias dont they? If he keeps calling for coins to go up from points where they’re obviously low and in correction, they will eventually go up because there’s nowhere left for it to drop. I can just repeatedly call for coins to go up and ill be right because eventually they will - days, weeks, months, years down the track they will.
But no one mentions it or calls him out when it goes the opposite way of his calls. They just say “Oh yeah, it’s all just part of the correction - he doesn’t have a crystal ball you know”. But then when it goes up - “he’s a genius!”
Where was his call that we were at the terminal end of a wave 5 with nearly all the altcoins and it was time to bail? He often says that best time to sell is terminal end of wave 5. If he’s such a master of TA why couldnt he see the obvious snowball rolling down the hill towards us?
Either, 1. His TA is really not that great. 2. He’s playing us all for fools. 3. He’s just stabbing in the dark in a bull market.
