Chinese gaming company - NetEase injects about USD 100 million or 1.4 Trillion Rupiah to Bungie Studio, dev. Destiny 2.
This investment also makes NetEase entitled to a small portion of Bungie Studio ownership. NetEase will now also take part in Bungie board of directors.
Bungie hopes that this money they can use to release their own game, no longer rely on a giant publisher Activision or Microsoft.
They also confirmed that this investment did not hurt their relationship with Activision.
