The following are important letters and documents that prove the close relationship between the Islamic Kingdom of Aceh Raya Darussalam and the Ottoman Empire Ustmaniyyah.

Below is the transliteration text of the Letter of the Sultan of Aceh Alaaddin Syah Al-Kahhar to Sultan Sulaiman Agung regarding the request for military assistance and military expert from Ustmanii Sultanate to fight the Portuguese. Further Turkish aid is also attached (3 pages). This Turkish letters are written Jumadil Akhir 973 H / 7 Jan 1566 M.

Below is a copy of the letter of Sultan Ustmani, Sultan Salim II to the ruler of Aceh, Syah Al-Kahhar who informed the sending of a fleet of navy along with a number of equipment and military experts to Aceh. The four-page letter dated 16 Rabi'ul Awwal 975 H / 20 Sept 1567 AD is in Turkish.

Below is a copy of the command from Diwan-i Humayun (Government of Ustmani) written for the Aceh Ambassador, Husein Efendi who mandated him to delay the sending of the Ustmani Sultanate to Aceh for 1 year. This 1 page Turkish letter dated 22 Rejab 975 H / 22 January 1568 M.

Below is a 3-page Petition of 63 Acehnese leaders through the Turkish Governor of Yemen and Hijaz for the Ustmani Caliph Sultan Abul Aziz which contains a request for protection and approval for Aceh to become a vassal kingdom under the Ottoman Empire. Several types and sources of income of the Aceh Sultanate are also included. The letter without the date and the year 1868 is using the Arabic language.

Below is a translation of the Official Petition of the Minister of Aceh, Deputy of the Aceh Ruler, as well as other Acehnese leaders who have visited Mecca to the Turkish Governor in Hijaz containing requests for protection and vassal status from the Ustmani Sultanate. This page 1 petition was written in Turkish in 1868 CE without a date.

Below is the transliteration text of the Aceh ruling petition sent to Mecca to be presented to the Sultan of Istanbul in Istanbul containing the request for protection and vassal status of the Ustmani Sultanate. This 1-page text uses the Turkish Ustmaniah translated from Arabic and has 7 Syawal 1298/8 Dec 1872.

Below is a 5 page Petition of 25 Acehnese leaders for Turkey through the Ambassador of Aceh, Sayyid Habib Abdurrahman Az-Zahir containing the request for protection and approval to become Aceh's vassal kingdom under the Ustmani Sultanate. Date of this petition at 7 Syawal 1289 H / 8 Dec 1872 M. The language used is Arabic.

Below is the letter of the ruler of Aceh, Mahmud Syah to the Khalifah Ustmani, Abdul Aziz sent through the Ambassador of Aceh, Sayyid Habib Abdurrahman Az-Zahir to Turkey which contains requests for help and protection from Turkey. This 1 page letter was recorded in 1873 AD and uses Arabic.

Below is a letter from Muhammad Daud Shah to the Ottoman Caliph, Sultan Abdul Hamid II sent via the Ustmani consulate in Batavia (Jakarta) which contains longstanding revelations of relations between Aceh and Turkey, Dutch cunning throughout the Aceh war and requests for help from Sultan Ustmani to stop the war. The letter dated 25 Muharram 1315 H / 26 Jun 1897 AD and has six pages consisting of 3 Arabic pages and 3 Malay pages.
