I am aligned with your thoughts as I think we should be able to self upvote our quality posts without concerns of being flagged. Comments and using some Dapps to self upvote is probably being too aggressive unless adding value to a community that will generate more engagement. At the end, the great thing is we can do what we want as long as we accept the consequences. I have also been looking to support projects and communities with ideas to add value via engagement and retention for users.
