Your friendly neighbourhood photog boy is celebrating the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

I recently had the chance to visit the famous "Villa Balbianello", which among other things, is also famous as one of the shooting locations for a few Star Wars scenes on the planet Naboo.

Yours truly is striking a Skywalker pose, in honour of the recent release of "The Rise of Skywalker"

If you'll recall, this is the exact location in Episode II, "Attack of the Clones", where Anakin Skywalker tries to calm himself after having disturbing dreams about his suffering mother, before rushing off to save her on Tatooine.

  • Do you remember this scene?
  • Did you enjoy Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker?
  • Have you ever been to this villa?

Very cool. They did some movie magic by removing the stone on the left side and adding in that golden doorway.

That is awesome and never new this was an actual place, just figured it was a green screen or something, but definitely makes me want to go and visit.

I'm seeing the new Star Wars movie tomorrow so kind of looking forward to it.

Wow such an awesome moment that must have been for you to be there ... Wishing you a very merry Christmas :)
