There are some grammar we speak and feel very comfortable using them yet they are blunders. The fact is we are so used to these words that we can argue they are correct. As a matter of fact, the wrong use of they now seem more normal and correct than the very correct words. Let's look at these very common examples.
WORDS USED WRONGLY AND THE CORRECT USAGE
(sample of grammatical blunder)
- It is wrong to say "you are taking it personal".
Rather say "you are taking it personally". - Do not say "He is matured". But say "he is mature or he has matured"
- It is bad grammar to say "the reason is because" the correct phrase is "the reason is that"
- She delivered a baby girl is wrong. She was delivered of a baby girl is correct.
- My stuff not my stuffs. Stuff is plural. So don't use stuff with "s"
- We have a vigil tonight not we have night vigil.
- There is nothing like traveling bag. It is travel bag.
- It is a wrong expression to say "as at when due". It is "as and when due".
- Simply say "rest assured" not " be rest assured"
- I can hear you is the right expression not I'm hearing you.
- No matter the number of names you have. Don't say "my names are" it is "my name is"
- "All manner of" not "all manners of"
- You dont Lack behind you lag behind. So say he is lagging behind not lacking behind.
- You rack your brain not crack brain.
- It is repetition to say "return it back" . "It is return it"
- Steemit comprises of minnows and whales is a wrong expression. Say steemit comprises minnows and whales or steemit is comprised of minnows and whales.
- Wake keeping is wrong, wake keep is incorrect. It is "wake".
- You don't exercise patience. It is "be patient"
- It is barber s oup not barbing saloon.
- I left my phone at home is a better expression tgan I forgot my phone at home.
- It is funnily enough not funny enough. Say funnily enough I have never met him.

Many people do not speak like this. Only people from one part of the world I know speak this way. I recognize it anywhere. It usually the result of translating one language to another - word for word! Try it. (:-)
