Managing Director of Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Limited (BCSCL) Saiful Islam said on Monday that our satellite has taken its position and started working naturally. It has reached 118 point 9 longitude.
On May 11, the BS-1 was successfully launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA. It is launched to reach 119.1 longitude of the satellite with the latest rocket Falcon-9 of SPExX.
The BCSCL Managing Director said that they will now run more tests before starting commercial operations. He said in three months we will go into commercial operations.
Official sources said that once in 24 hours, BS-1 will once again fly the world at a height of 36 thousand kilometers. Shortly after the launch of Falcon-9's Block-5, the BS-35-7-km-kilometer route was passed immediately after launch. Then, in 10 days, more than 300 kilometers cross the current position.
Operation Engineer Tajul Islam of Gazipur Ground Station told BSS earlier, BS-1 started sending the signal to the Ground station. He said that it will take about two months to get full control of BS-1 from Gaya Ground station of Joydevpur and Gatbunia of Rangamati.
In fact, the satellite launch was completed from the launch pad of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on May 11 at 4:14 pm (Bangladesh Time 2: 14 minutes). The US satellite space exploration and technology company SpaceX's Falcon-9 Block-5 rocket goes off into the space with satellites. The satellite has 26 KU bands and 14 C-band transponders. It will be managed by Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Ltd (BCSCL). The satellite will be able to serve in Bangladesh and the neighborhood.
Bangladesh and the watershed of the Bay of Bengal will be under the KU-band. With this, you can serve in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Philippines and Indonesia. The mission of at least 15 years will continue.
