These tag lines are enough to lure the parents especially if it is a admission process for kindergarten. Every parent wants the best education and wants to provide the best facilities for their kids. Sometimes some school takes advantage of this desperation.

Come April and the newspapers are flooded with such advertisements. Packed with big( sometimes false) promise of attractive amenities with unique motto of their institution, beautiful building, high tech class rooms and well qualified staff, the school surely knows how to do business. Of course, some schools have made education a profit making business.
Some parents also go overboard and try to go beyond their capacity. Pre schools especially, are taking full advantage of it.
I remember when we had to put our older daughter in pre school, everybody used to suggest the big branded school. But we preferred a small school which was run by the ex principal of a reputed school , she was an old lady and had opened the school in her bunglow. With very few kids and limited staff, she used to give personal attention to my daughter. I was happy that’s what i wanted but I noticed people would be surprised that why are we not sending our daughter to a branded school.
Parents with such mentality are letting the school presume that we are ready to be taken for a ride.
We send our kids to school to educate them not to make them a brand! Right!

I agree with you @shilpavarma but commercialization has taken over world and schools are included too!

That’s the sad story

School and Hospital are very good businesses, it never see recession. Here in Gujarat the government have taken good steps to control the school to take a maximum fees. The government decided the three categories of fees according to it primary, secondary and higher secondary schools. The maximum fees for these were set at Rs 15,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 27,000 per year. But unfortunately the nexus of schools have filed a petition in SC and the SC asked government to form a fee regulatory committee that will hear both school and parents and then decide the maximum cap. The matter is still in process. The parents are suffering here also as there is no clarification of the fee cap the schools are harnessing and sometimes school asks parents to pay the fees of two terms together.

Yes, unfortunately this is very common . Sometimes they hike the fees , sometimes as you said they ask to pay the fees of two terms together.. there is no control.

so right you are. The newspaper is full of photos of children who have scored high in science, maths, bio, CA or IAS. There is no success story of a farmer or any institute which wants to teach farming. sad state of affairs. My bil in pune sends his kids to a high profile school but the level of education is just the same as my son's who studied in a village school in kerala. The parents are just spending so much money. They can just spend some time with their kids and it will be enough, am sure

Spending time with kids Is the most expensive thing a parent can provide to their kids.
