Today I want to review and share my experience on butterfly Ultrasound probe.
How I find out?
After extensive search for an ultrasound probe in many sites, I came across this butterfly probe which is not only affordable but looks aesthetic, compatible and portable.
First impression of butterfly ultrasound pocket probe is appealingg and it attracts you immediately.
How much does it cost?
I bought it during Black Friday deal and it was around $2,000 for the probe and $99 for the subscription. I got an off of around $300 in subscription fee. Subscription fees around for $420 dollars. You have to spend 2000 plus for $20 to buy the pocket probe.
If you want to buy any additional accessories then its an add on.
How does it work?
Butterfly iQ’s single probe delivers a 2D array of 9000 micro-machined sensors emulating any type of transducer - linear, curved or phased.
Butterfly's Ultrasound-on-Chip™ technology replaces the traditional transducer system with a single silicon chip, leveraging the same silicon manufacturing as consumer devices. That means - one probe, whole body ultrasound starting under $2k.
Does it produce good images and is it compared to traditional USG machines?
I'm not a great expert on ultrasound machines but based on my experience as an ER doctor I used some site and other two different company ultrasound machines. Butterfly probe has a tremendous potential to make doctor's life easier in portability and in providing us good quality ultrasound images. Replaces traditional multiple probe technology to a single probe,It can be used for cardiac vascular ,musculoskeletal ,obstetrics and so on

How do you clean the probe?
This is very important. I use super Sani cloth for cleaning. The sensor white part should be tapped and remaining part can be cleaned and left moist for 2 minutes.
Then clean the probe through lint free cloth. Tap the sensor instead of wiping it.replace the probe in case.
Quality of images
quality of images of so good and we can interpret and adjust a game and that easily. I got a probe which is compatible with USB c-type. I could connect to my Google pixel Android phone.
Read subscription you get additional options of saving image and linking the images to external site.for me are used mostly I'm just down for cleaning purposes and it is quite helpful.

Must have for all USG enthusiastics and modern medicine lovers.
