Introducing Smart Vouchers
You can now earn money by sharing Smart Vouchers with your social circle!
The concept is simple. You earn when people join the Byteball network using your unique Smart Voucher code. Similar to other recent distributions, rewards are locked for 12 months to incentivize growth whilst offering protection to current holders.
Many people will be wondering how much they can earn. A conservative estimate is $120 for every 10 people that join using your Smart Voucher code, the earnings are not risk-free though. Full details can be found in the announcement.
We are optimistic that with time this distribution could grow the network substantially. It is the first distribution of its kind that we are aware of in the cryptocurrency space, and puts the power of the distribution under the control of users rather than any one platform or specific group of people.
Branding and visual identity review
Byteball has an awesome platform under continuous development, but there are people that believe the project would benefit significantly from a new brand and visual identity.
We have spent considerable time engaging with several branding and naming agencies during the past few months, and we are very close to signing a contract. Head of Strategy, Valerius Coppens is in charge of the project.
The process will consist of two main parts:
1 – Naming and legal research.
2 – Visual Identity.
The naming process starts with a strategy workshop to lay foundations for the brand creation. Presentations should be delivered in 2-3 weeks time. Once we have a few lovable candidates they will be subject to trademark searches and linguistic checks.
We expect to go through the whole naming process in about 6 weeks time. Visual Identity will follow, with a time estimate of around 10 weeks (this is not finalized yet but an estimation).
Byteball.js project update
The first milestone of the byteball.js project has been finished. Thanks to community members Fabien and Sekhmet for the excellent Javascript library! We hope it's going to power many new web apps. The documentation is excellent documentation too, very easy to follow with a lot of code examples. If you are a Javascript developer it is well with reviewing.
Trade The Odds update
TTO is an upcoming decentralized P2P betting exchange powered by the Byteball platform. The project is being developed by Byteball Community members. We were informed this week that legals are close to being wrapped up. TTO has been incorporated in the Caribbean and is finalizing licensing agreements before the site goes live.
With the recent relaxation of gambling laws in the USA, the timing may turn out to be excellent.
