Very first thing you should do with any cryptocurrency wallet is to backup your seed words. If you have made attestation or bought private assets like blackbytes then you should also do regular full backups (seed words don't recover that data).
If you didn't write down seed words or didn't do the full backup then there is not much you can do to recover lost Byteball wallet.

How did you do the referrals, by sending the link to them or by sending 50 000 Bytes? Did you checked on Explorer before sending that you were the first one to send them Bytes?
It is important that you are the first to send them the Bytes (they don't need more than 50 000 Bytes), referral link is just a fallback when the bot can't find any already attested user to give the referral reward.
